Tournament Sanctioning

Tournament sanctioning is available to MYSA members in good standing. Tournament sanctioning ensures that tournaments are upholding MYSA, USYS and USSF rules and policies regarding game-play and risk management. Applications must be completed 60 days before the start of the event. The steps to complete the process are outlined below.


Step 1: First, complete the intent to host form that notifies MYSA of the intended dates of the tournament and allows you to pay the tournament sanctioning fees.

Step 2: Second, complete the tournament sanctioning application through the Tournament Center. Completing this step also completes the required US Youth Soccer form automatically. Click on "Sign In" to get started at website linked below.

Step 3 (only for International Tournaments): Complete this step only if you are hosting an International Tournament involving foreign teams. In this case, the U.S. Soccer Federation requires and additional application through their website and requires an additional $200 fee upon submission of that application.

Festival/Jamboree - $150.00

MYSA-only - $300.00

National - $400.00

International - $500.00 (U.S. Soccer Federation fees also apply)


With 30 days of the conclusion of your sanctioned tournament, you must complete your post tournament report, which consists of the following three documents: Tournament/Games Recap, Ejected Participant List, and the Referee Assignor Report. Please complete these reports and email them to MYSA@mnyouthsoccer.org.
