Tournament Sanctioning

Overview

If any MYSA-sanctioned tournament has scheduling conflicts with an MYSA-sponsored event, the MYSA-sponsored event takes precedence.
The MYSA-sanctioned tournament will be responsible for any rescheduling.

The Tournament Center will list all sanctioned tournaments in Minnesota, as well as those sanctioned in several other states within Region II. Tournament Directors will use this site for submitting sanctioning documents. This will make the sanctioning process easier and quicker for all MYSA clubs hosting tournaments. In addition, your information will be saved from year-to-year so you do not have to start from scratch each time.

Tournaments are sanctioned as International (may include foreign teams), National (may include USA teams not affiliated with MYSA) or MYSA-Only (include only teams affiliated with MYSA). To find a Minnesota tournament, simply click on “Find a Tournament,” select “Minnesota” in the drop down box and click on “Search.”

Important Deadlines

There are several important deadlines that need to be met for hosting tournaments in the calendar year for 2023:

10/07/2022 Intent to Host due (along with BOD minutes approving the tournament)
11/18/2022 International & National Invitational Tournament Sanctioning applications due.
12/02/2022 MYSA-only Invitational Tournament/Festival/Jamboree Sanctioning applications due.

Tournament Sanctioning Fees

International - $500.00 (U.S. Soccer Federation fees also apply.)

National - $400.00

MYSA-only - $300.00

Festival/Jamboree - $150.00

Organizations must be in good standing with Minnesota Youth Soccer before they will be considered for sanctioning. Also, if you hosted a tournament, festival or jamboree in 2022, all of the post-tournament reports must be filed with the Minnesota Youth Soccer state office in a timely manner before you will be considered for 2023. This includes the referee report with the list of referees and the games they officiated. Questions may be directed to MYSA at 952-252-2384 or MYSA@MNYouthSoccer.org.

Post Tournament Report

In an effort to help automate the tournament reporting process, MYSA has created typeable pdfs that can be submitted electronically. The report has been broken down into three (3) parts. Questions may be directed to Norine Olson at 952-252-0228 or norineolson@mnyouthsoccer.org.
