Referees Resources

MYSA League Referee requirements for check-in and game scoring:

  • Referees MUST use their US Soccer Connect login (previously Affinity) to access the digital player card and scoring mobile web app.
  • Referees should search for games using the game number, check-in teams and report scores and all cards/ejections after the game through the app. No more paper forms!
  • Why do we require a login to report scores? A referee’s US Soccer Connect login is tied to the fact that they have an approved background check. MYSA values player safety and one part of that is requiring an approved background check from all of its adult participants. If your referee says that they do not have a US Soccer Connect login, that should be a red flag that they do not have a background check and they should NOT be refereeing.

Click the logo above to log into the system to check teams in. You can search by the game number.

Game Reports (Required)

Referees must report MYSA game scores through the US Soccer Connect system (previously Affinity). MYSA highly recommends that Clubs and Referee Assignors approve Referee payments after confirming game scores have been properly reported.

Following each game, please have the assigned game number, game rosters (home and away) which show player check-ins, any discipline and final score before you login to report the game and then access your Referee account on SportsConnect, or create your account by going to: http://mn-ussf.sportsaffinity.com/reg/index.asp.

Minnesota State Referee Committee

The Minnesota State Referee Committee (SRC) is responsible for certifying and re-certifying referees and referee assignors in Minnesota, and for the development of instructors and assessors in Minnesota. A portion of the registration fee paid by each referee is used by the Minnesota SRC to recruit, retain and develop referees, instructors and assessors.

The main communication vehicle used by the Minnesota SRC is its website:  www.minnesotasrc.com. This website lists instructions on how referees and referee assignors can become certified (or re-certified) and provides many valuable resources for referees, referee assignors, referee instructors and referee assessors.
