OVERVIEW
The Northern States Soccer League (NSSL) is designed for teams in the northern states that do not want to participate in an established league due to travel, but still want to compete regularly. NSSL is run by David Carter, a MYSA Board Member, and supported by MYSA staff.

FORMAT
NSSL runs from late May-July each year. 9U-12U teams play on weekends with 13U and older teams playing during the week. The goal is for each age group to have their own playing night to allow teams to plan accordingly. 

TEAMS
Open to teams located in the northern part of Minnesota and North Dakota. 2 age groups will be combined to ensure a healthy number of teams in each league. The following age groups will be used: 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U.  

COST
$9/player: includes insurance and a player pass to participate in other tournaments i.e. Summer State Championships

$19/coach: includes insurance and mandatory background check

$100/10U team

$200/12U and older teams

$300/club: clubs must annually affiliate with MYSA to participate in the league. The fee includes insurance.

SUMMER STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
NSSL teams are eligible to play in the Summer State Championships in July.
