Minnesota Youth Soccer welcomes two new board members, both with nonprofit backgrounds and diverse talents, to its Board of Directors. We are excited about the breadth of experience that will be added to the Board with these new members and the reassignment and renewed focus of an existing member.
Jennifer Zarth will serve as Vice President and brings over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit industry. She has worked in leadership positions for the Minnesota Children’s Museum and The Sanneh Foundation promoting the education and development of children and youth. Her expert skills in fund development, including grant writing, sponsorships and work with high net worth individuals will bring a new perspective to our leadership. Jennifer played soccer through high school and has managed teams in both the competitive and recreational levels for over ten years.
Ann Marie Courchene will serve a one-year term as Secretary. She has worked for the past seven years as the Senior Director of Sales and Operations for Goodwill-Easter Seals of Minnesota. She is also on the Financial Committee for Shakopee Area Catholic Church and School as Secretary. Ann Maire has been involved in the soccer community for 15 years through her two daughters. Her work and previous board experience will help us develop the MYSA mission forward and set new goals.
Julie Magnuson will shift roles in MYSA. She will now support the West District as a Member Representative. Previously she served as a competitive committee member since 2015. Julie’s background in soccer is extensive; she grew up playing soccer, ten years of coaching at the high school level and for over 15 years with rec and competitive programs at the club level. Professionally, she has been involved with customer service most of her life and understands how to build and retain relationships.
In addition to the new board members, John Conte was re-elected as Treasurer and Nicole McAllister was re-elected to serve as the North District Recreation Representative. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise in their fields and will be tremendous assets to MYSA as we further our mission of promoting the game of soccer for all youth in Minnesota. We also want to thank our past board members and extend much appreciation to those members currently serving.
