2020–2021 Leagues Overview

Minnesota League One (MNL1)

13U–19U Boys & Girls:

  • Most competitive state league with promotion/relegation and is comprised of three tiers*: First Division, Premier II and Premier I
  • Typically, MN League One teams compete in USYS Presidents Cup and/or Minnesota State Cup and/or USYS National League
  • 8-10 games are played between January—July with teams scheduling their own game times, days and locations

12U League

12U Boys & Girls:

  • Designed to provide quality games to highly competitive teams and it replaces the Futures program.
  • A format similar to Minnesota League One with an expected 8-10 games in the spring.
  • For highly competitive teams interested in entering Minnesota League One in the fall or teams looking to play Midwest Conference-National League at 13U.

Minnesota Black & Blue Leagues

9U–19U Boys & Girls:

  • Designed for multi-sport or seasonally-committed athletes
  • Teams placed in leagues based on their geographic location
  • Six games Labor Day–mid October, 10 games May–July and State Championships
