MYSA is accepting bids to host the MYSA Fall State Tournament for 2012 and 2013
Scheduled dates for the event are October 13 and 14, 2012 and October 12 and 13, 2013 (this is NOT MEA weekend). This is MYSA’s fall season-ending tournament. All teams must qualify to participate. The average participation is about 120 teams and over 135 games.
The host site must:
- Provide a minimum of eight small-sided fields and a minimum of eight full-sided fields that are regulation size according to MYSA rules. Please include in your bid the total number of fields available on site, specifying how many small-sided and how many full-sided fields.
- Ensure all fields have regulation size, ANCHORED goals according to MYSA rules.
- Arrange for concessions to be sold at the event; host site keeps all proceeds.
- Ensure there are adequate restroom facilities on site and hotel space nearby.
- Provide space, tent/shelter for event headquarters and a minimum of one volunteer per site available to MYSA throughout the tournament.
- Provide space and tent/shelter for referee headquarters.
- Provide an adequate amount of ice for water coolers, referee headquarters and medical staff.
- Handle all necessary contracts and agreements with city administrators, school boards and/or private organizations regarding field use.
- Have a locked facility or storeroom on site for tournament materials.
Please include in your bid a detailed description of how you would meet the criteria listed above. Proposals should be sent to Ranae Orr at the MYSA state office or via email to ranaeorr@mnyouthsoccer.org. All bids are due by February 3, 2012. MYSA will choose a host site and contact all locations with their decision in February 2012.
NOTE: The host club will NOT have the right to solicit sponsorships or produce promotional materials.
