Target United Cup

Minnesota Youth Soccer is excited to announce the re-branding of the Summer and Fall Jamboree. Target is joining the world of soccer, taking part in the sport’s inclusivity and family-friendliness via engagement in local youth and national professional play. Minnesota has been selected to host the Target United Cup this Fall. Teams will participate in a 3-games-in-a-day experience and will be bracketed according to their play level (maroon/gold), like the MYSA Jamborees. There are opportunities for all MYSA 9U/10U Maroon and Gold teams and all MYSA 7U–10U Recreation and Recreation Plus teams. No scores will be kept and there will be no playoffs.

Team Registration: Due by September 15, 2017

Cost: $75.00 (7U and 8U teams) | $110.00 (9U and 10U teams)

Teams wishing to participate MUST register and pay for the 2017 Target United Cup through their Affinity access during the open registration period between August 26 and September 15, 2017.

Teams can register for this tournament in Affinity by clicking the “Apply to Tournament” link from the Teams tab, or by navigating to the “Tournament” tab of the team’s information page, and then choosing “2017 Target United Cup - Minnesota” from the drop down menu.

Rosters and Guest Players

All players must be age eligible for the team as calculated using 1/1/2018 as the age calculation date. Each team must meet the minimum and not exceed the maximum roster allotments to register.

**A guest player is a player not on the team’s league roster, but is age eligible and registered with the same club as the team.

Groupings

  • Every effort will be made to provide Maroon, Gold, Recreation  and Recreation Plus brackets; however, the Target United Cup reserves the right to combine age groups and/or play levels dependent on the total number of registered teams in an age group or play level. Parity of competition will be a priority when scheduling.
  • Each team will be placed in a group for round-robin play and be scheduled for a minimum of three games. Each team will play games against other teams within its group.
  • There will be no playoffs.
