Player Development

MYSA offers three summer Player Development Camp options to provide distinctive training opportunities to youth players:

The Player Development Camp allows boys and girls ages 6-16 to learn and improve in a fun and encouraging environment. This 4-day camp provides age and developmentally appropriate soccer training tailored to the best interest of each child.

The Goalkeeper Development Program (GDP) offers goalkeepers expert training from MYSA staff goalkeeper coaches in a positive learning environment. This intensive indoor training program is designed to improve each goalkeeper’s ability regardless of experience or playing level.

The Goalkeeper Challenge is an intensive goalkeeper training program for boys and girls ages 14 and up. This 4-day camp allows committed and motivated goalkeepers to train in a competitive environment with top national, ODP and collegiate goalkeeper coaches.

The College Development Program (CDP) is designed to help ambitious players succeed at the college level and to guide families through the challenging process of getting there. Two parallel tracks for players and family members culminate with a combined College Recruiting Talk.

  • The Player track includes experts on sport psychology and on making the transition to college soccer.
  • The Parent track includes a Financial Aid /Admissions session and a discussion on supporting their athlete’s college experience.
