Minnesota Youth Soccer Annual Awards

Time to recognize and thank key leaders within your club.

On November 1, 2014, the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association will hold its Annual Recognition Banquet to recognize inductees into the MYSA Hall of Fame and honors the Annual Award Nominees.

The Annual Award winners will also be announced at the banquet and will be forwarded on for Regional and possible Nation consideration. Awards are given in the following categories:

Competitive Coach of the Year – This award is given to a competitive coach for both a boy's team and a girl's team. This person exemplifies leadership both on and off the field and goes that extra mile to ensure a great soccer experience for all participants.

Recreational Coach of the Year – This award is given to a recreational coach for both a boy's team and a girl's team. This person exemplifies leadership both on and off the field and goes that extra mile to ensure a great soccer experience for all participants.

Administrator of the Year – This award is given to those that have worked hard within their club to help provide opportunities for children to not only play soccer but to play in a safe and fun environment.

Volunteer of the Year – This award honors those who are excellent role models for their community who generously give of their time and talents for the good of the game.

TOPSoccer Volunteer of the Year – This award is for an outstanding volunteer specifically in the TOPSoccer program who demonstrates patience and dependability in teaching the game of soccer while creating a fun learning experience for TOPSoccer athletes.

Young Referee of the Year – This award is given to a young male and female referee (19 years of age or younger as of August 15 of the current year) who have a strong work ethic, knowledge of the rules of the games and are positive role models to other referees as well as players.

To nominate a deserving individual for any of the above categories, click the link below. Nominations can be made by anyone; a player, parent, spouse, mentor or colleague. Simply tell us about their background in soccer, why they are worthy of the award and provide their contact information. Letters of recommendation from additional individuals are recommended but not required.

Nominations are due Wednesday, October 1, 2014.
