Mission: Gitchi Gummi Soccer Club is a youth soccer program organized to provide for player, coach and referee development. The club aims to provide fun, educational and developmental programs suitable for all ages (5–19 years old) and in the process develop the understanding, sportsmanship and skill of soccer.

Development includes: Development of the whole person, both on and off the field. Having fun playing soccer. Good competition: providing the highest appropriate skill level without sacrificing fair play and sportsmanship. Sportsmanship includes graciously accepting the ruling of the officials, applauding good plays by both teams, and seeking no advantage except those of superior skill and legal means. Bringing out the best in each player. Success will be measured by the individual development of each player, rather than on wins and losses. Winning is desirable, but losing can be a victory when the team has given its best, and the players are motivated to work harder. Excessive pressure to win is demoralizing and can prevent the players from focusing their efforts.
